Renault Australia has dramatically increased the value of its stylish Koleos SUV in April, with drive away pricing and a seven-year warranty package across the range.
The popular SUV now starts at $31,990 drive away for the Life, $35,990 for the Zen, $42,990 for the Intens 4×2 and $45,990 for the range-topping Intens 4×4.
“We are excited to offer Australian customers a fantastic drive away price and seven year warranty for the Renault Koleos range,” said Renault Australian Managing Director Anouk Poelmann.
“With its combination of interior space, comfort and two-tonne tow rating, the Renault Koleos is perfectly suited for Australian families who want to transport up to five adults in style.
“The Renault Koleos is a great choice for customers wanting a quality SUV that stands apart from the crowd, with its mix of design, flair, comfort and performance.”
In addition to the unlimited kilometre seven-year warranty (7Y/200,000km on vehicles purchased for commercial use), MY20 Koleos comes with five years’ capped price servicing (up to 150,000km) and up to five years’ service-activated roadside assistance when serviced at an authorised Renault dealership.
The Koleos’ class-leading service intervals of up to 30,000km or 12 month (whichever comes first) allows up to 150,000km of driving over the first five years of ownership for some customers, improving the value proposition for Koleos owners.
Power for all Renault Koleos models (except the flagship 4×4 Intens) comes from a 126kW/226Nm 2.5-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol mated to a CVT automatic.
On the safety side of things, the Koleos is pretty well equipped in standard form with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS Inter-Urban), Hill Start Assist, Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Rear View Camera. The Koleos comes standard with a raft of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and has been awarded the maximum 5-star NCAP rating.
The Zen and Intens variants benefit from 360 degree parking sensors, Blind Spot Warning (BSW), with the Intens model also receiving additional safety features such as: Automatic High/Low Beam Headlights (AHL) and Easy Park Assist (EPA).
Other features include compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as R-LINK 2 satellite navigation multimedia system. When equipped with Navigation (from Zen model), the Koleos offers free 12 months’ live traffic and 36 months of free map updates.
Stepping up from the Koleos Life up into the Koleos Zen commands a $4000 premium, but does offer 18-inch alloy wheels, rear tinted windows, sat-nav with live traffic information, heated front seats, leatherette upholstery, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, blind spot monitoring and front and side parking sensors.
Find an additional $7000 and you can step into the range-topping Koleos Intens, where you’ll get 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, an electronic tailgate, panoramic sunroof, a larger 8.7-inch touch-screen with 11-speaker stereo, a cooling function for the front seats, ambient lighting and automatic high-beam.
